Mixed-use development in the city centre

The winning entry in an invited competition, in order to establish a proposal for the use of an entire city block – described as “the most interesting scheme”.

The Galleria project proposal, sited along Laugavegur, consists of an inner street, retail, offices, housing and a hotel, as well as an art-point and a black box theatre. Rentable space is 16.500 m², additionally, there is 12.700 m² of submerged parking and storage, in all a construction of about 29.200 m². This work is based on the schemes prepared for the city of Reykjavík and Skipulagssjóður.
